Moorhen is a beautifully restored two-bedroom Cotswold stone cottage, offering comfortable accommodation for up to four adults. Combining period character with modern comforts, it provides a peaceful retreat in the heart of the Coln Valley.
The cottage enjoys its own private patio, with guests also welcome to explore the adjoining grounds of Coln Mill. Whether you’re enjoying a morning coffee outdoors or returning from a day spent exploring the Cotswolds, Moorhen offers a relaxing setting in which to unwind.
On the ground floor, a welcoming entrance hall provides space for coats and walking boots, while a convenient cloakroom sits just off the hallway. The fully equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing meals at home and leads through to a comfortable sitting room, creating a sociable space for relaxing and spending time together.
Upstairs, the cottage features two bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. The principal bedroom can be arranged as either a king-size bed or twin beds to suit your requirements; please let us know your preference when booking. The second bedroom features a king-size bed.
Access to the first floor is via the original mill cottage staircase, which forms part of the property’s historic character. Please note therefore, that Moorhen is unfortunately not be suitable for children under 12 years of age or guests with limited mobility.
Moorhen offers exclusive use of the entire cottage, together with access to the adjacent gardens of Coln Mill, making it an ideal base for couples, friends and families looking to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the Cotswolds.
We are unable to accommodate dogs at Moorhen.
